Who knows.

I think what the politicians need to start talking about is how the world see's our power structure as weak and compromised.

We're ripe for the picking.

I think the only people who care about it are the Republicans. The rest of the world probably doesn't have it on their radar. Heck, they probably don't even know what it is or why it matters.

Would I be too optimistic in hoping that this dilemma will courage all sides to compromise and work together more? I've been paying close attention to the proceedings and thought it was so refreshing when Cheryl Johnson, the House Clerk who is a Democrat, was cheered on so enthusiastically by numerous Republicans for the way that she's handled the chaotic House debates and votes. Maybe this comradery will help build bridges. Our politicians need to work together for the people.
