I usually do my own personal taxes, since I don't have any overly complicated investments or deductions to worry about. I've been using H&R Block's software for the past decade, but they've jacked up the price in recent years, and I'm not keen on paying more. Which tax filers have you used? Were you satisfied with the experience?

I didn't know you can do taxes with software. Is it safe? I'm not keen on uploading more of my personal data to the cloud and paying even more; in fact, I think we should minimize it, but it's hard to avoid with the way technology grows. I prefer the old style of doing taxes. -
I've done so for the past five years, breeeze, and haven't run into trouble using it. The process feels pretty safe and secure to me. You're wise to protect your information, though.Comment
