Not to say it is not useful—it's got niche uses, to borrow gaming terms—but it doesn't seem like a huge breakthrough at first glance. I'm still trying to understand the basic concept provided by the article to see how it can be applied further to other parts of life.

Thanks, Forum Lead. The mystery of these "soft robots" looks fun to explore in the future mostly because of the low risks involved. We still need to touch or click certain buttons which are not completely disability-friendly, but I'm already thrilled that we can come this far. A novel concept like this is a huge milestone in my opinion. It feels like we are putting our minds where it really matters if you know what I mean.- Quote

That's actually a cool invention! I don't think the jacket can be considered an electronic device to call it a computer without chips, though. We are just making better use of the concepts of physics. Also, having chips or computers handle our clothing would be way too scary. I hope we never get to that point.- Quote
